Enso

Enso takes traditional Japanese knife-making methods and infuses them with modern, innovative techniques to create beautiful, high-performance kitchen knives. Founded in 2009, Enso focuses on crafting knives with exceptional sharpness, durability, and ease of use.

About Enso

Enso creates premium Japanese kitchen knives and knife sets in their workshop in Seki City, the historical center of Japanese cutlery. Their passion is bringing centuries-old Japanese bladesmithing traditions together with modern innovations.

The brand launched in 2009 with a mission to make the world’s finest kitchen knives while making quality craftsmanship accessible. Enso pioneered techniques like hand-hammering blades to create beautiful Damascus patterns that also enhance performance.

Two premium knife collections are hand-crafted in Seki City: The HD Series features VG10 steel individually hand-hammered over 13,000 times. The SG2 Series has 101 layers of forged steel for a striking Damascus finish and extreme edge retention.

Both lines blend modern technology and proprietary techniques like electrical discharge machining to etch an ultra-thin logo on each blade. The result is knives with exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, corrosion resistance and agility.

Enso believes well-crafted knives empower home cooks to make healthier, homemade meals. Their community initiatives provide food education for underserved youth. Enso strives to create a personal customer experience built on passion, quality, and community impact.
